How Do I Point DNS or Name Servers To My Hosting Provider

If your domain name is registered with different from your hosting company, The first thing you’ll need to do is remove the domain register name servers and change its name servers to your hosting provider name servers to start with your website. The DNS will be find in welcome mail from your hosting provider.


Updating Your Domain’s DNS


  1. Sign into your domain register account.
  2. Select Domain List from menu and click on the domain name then you will see Manage button or below case i am using godady register so i can see manage button next to domain.
  3. Click on manage the domain you want to change the name servers.
  4. You will take to domain cpanel then click on nameserver settings.
  5. Remove old entries and Enter the two custom nameservers your hosting provider gave you and click OK.

Once you are done with updating your nameservers, allow 24 to 48 hours for other networks to access information. Usually .com and .net extensions will take less than 2 hours. If you have difficulty, use below comment box or contact us for further help
